This book was an interesting read; and, exactly what I expected. I gained knowledge of what a Schizophrenic thinks, feels, and, lives. It sounds like a very frustrating existence.The author is understandably anonymous, as I would be if I had written it. It is easy to read, well written, in other words. It is basically the daily events of life, going to see the doctor, the psychologist, etc. It is in-depth and intimate.
If this is what you are looking for, I recommend it.

quick read..very enjoyable book. there is a slight twist at the end that I was not expecting. worth the time it took to read it.

Thank you for sharing your story about mental illness. I, too, suffer with mental illnesses and find it to be a daily struggle. Hope to read more of your story.
An interesting story! Provided a glimpse into a person’ s life struggling with Schizophrenia. A fast and interesting read. Recommend.
This a short but very powerful account of a young woman's struggle with debilitating mental illness. Don't go into it expecting answers. She writes the story exactly as she experienced it and reality is sometimes as elusive for the reader as it frequently is for the author. That's the beauty and the value of this book. What would YOU do if you woke up one morning and put your feet out of bed and there was no floor? Some things are impossible to fully understand without having experienced them, but as the stigma surrounding mental illness subsides, more of its victims are speaking out. Treatment of schizophrenia is improving but (for many) still falls far short of effective. Some questions (such as the causative role of genetics or drug abuse) are still to be answered. In the mean time, even sympathetic understanding helps. That's one thing we all have to offer and we should be generous with it.
THERE'S NO SUCH WORD AS CAN'T by Louise Johnson is a well-written, fascinating memoir about schizophrenia which goes into the question of marijuana use and its apparent role in triggering schizophrenic episodes. WITNESS TO THE DARK by Bob Larsted and SCHIZOPHRENIA - WHO CARES? by Tim Salmon are both fine books which give a parent's view of schizophrenia and the frustrations of trying to get effective treatment for their children.
Author seemed too passive even when she had valid arguments that she was trusting authorities that wanted to keep her dependant and submissive but we're there less painful alternatives?
I was enjoying the book when all of a sudden, it skipped over everything and ended. That was disappointing. I'm not sure whether that is designed to make readers purchase the next book in the series or not, but it skips from a big event in the middle to a rather neatly tied-up ending, leaving me wondering whether my flubbed up or the author really wrote it that way. Apparently the author really wrote it that way. Bummer.
